Matt Zapotosky covers the Justice Department for the Washington Post’s National Security team. Before that, he covered the federal courthouse in Alexandria and local law enforcement in Prince George’s County and Southern Maryland.

A proud graduate of Ohio University, Zapotosky spends his free time rooting for the Detroit Lions and Washington Nationals. He lives with his wife and two cats in Northwest D.C.
