KEILAR So that s ░░░░░░░░ issue of PFAS right ░░░░░░░░ forever chemicals And the ░░░░░░░░ the White House is ░░░░░░░░ today with a press ░░░░░░░░ where they say on ░░░░░░░░ Day we finally have ░░░░░░░░ president who follows science ░░░░░░░░ it goes through a ░░░░░░░░ of things that he ░░░░░░░░ doing carbon capture pausing ░░░░░░░░ emissions rules for coal ░░░░░░░░ expanding responsible logging But ░░░░░░░░ there s also something ░░░░░░░░ ending the forced use ░░░░░░░░ paper straws And in ░░░░░░░░ specific note it says ░░░░░░░░ paper straws contain dangerous ░░░░░░░░ chemicals forever chemicals linked ░░░░░░░░ significant long term health ░░░░░░░░ What do you make ░░░░░░░░ them heralding something specifically ░░░░░░░░ that about PFAS and ░░░░░░░░ doing what they re ░░░░░░░░ with this EPA regulation ░░░░░░░░ Yeah well I mean ░░░░░░░░ it shows is that ░░░░░░░░ s some cognitive dissonance ░░░░░░░░ That they re actually ░░░░░░░░ in you know supporting ░░░░░░░░ that are actually antagonistic ░░░░░░░░ respect to other measures ░░░░░░░░ they re supporting That ░░░░░░░░ are at odds with ░░░░░░░░ other Because while they ░░░░░░░░ be claiming that they ░░░░░░░░ trying to reduce the ░░░░░░░░ of you know wood ░░░░░░░░ straws that that do ░░░░░░░░ certain dangerous chemicals in ░░░░░░░░ When you look at ░░░░░░░░ overall policies they are ░░░░░░░░ paving the way for ░░░░░░░░ to dump far more ░░░░░░░░ these extremely dangerous PFAS ░░░░░░░░ these forever chemicals into ░░░░░░░░ water supplies and and ░░░░░░░░ course and pollution into ░░░░░░░░ air So they re ░░░░░░░░ to do exactly the ░░░░░░░░ of what they re ░░░░░░░░ And they re hoping ░░░░░░░░ people won t take ░░░░░░░░ to task They re ░░░░░░░░ that journalists won t ░░░░░░░░ them to task They ░░░░░░░░ hoping that people are ░░░░░░░░ confused about the seemingly ░░░░░░░░ claims to sort of ░░░░░░░░ it out themselves And ░░░░░░░░ just sort of throw ░░░░░░░░ hands up in defeat ░░░░░░░░ so that s what ░░░░░░░░ re hoping Because to ░░░░░░░░ extent that we are ░░░░░░░░ and misinformed and disengaged ░░░░░░░░ simply enables the agenda ░░░░░░░░ the polluters whose pocket ░░░░░░░░ re in KEILAR Michael ░░░░░░░░ Mann thank you so ░░░░░░░░ for being with us ░░░░░░░░ really appreciate it It ░░░░░░░░ always great to have ░░░░░░░░
