MOHYELDIN Tom I m ░░░░░░░░ enough to remember that ░░░░░░░░ Trump is not the ░░░░░░░░ Republican president that Vladimir ░░░░░░░░ has run circles around ░░░░░░░░ certainly fooled so far ░░░░░░░░ a listen to what ░░░░░░░░ President George Bush said ░░░░░░░░ about him in 2001 ░░░░░░░░ starts BUSH I looked ░░░░░░░░ man in the eye ░░░░░░░░ found him to be ░░░░░░░░ straightforward and trustworthy And ░░░░░░░░ had a very good ░░░░░░░░ I was able to ░░░░░░░░ a sense of his ░░░░░░░░ Clip ends MOHYELDIN I ░░░░░░░░ it s one of ░░░░░░░░ cringeworthy moments when you ░░░░░░░░ of look back at ░░░░░░░░ right And Bush regrets ░░░░░░░░ but what is the ░░░░░░░░ S president saying this ░░░░░░░░ Vladimir Putin and then ░░░░░░░░ Trump Administration trusting him ░░░░░░░░ saying they basically trust ░░░░░░░░ they think he s ░░░░░░░░ good guy accepting portraits ░░░░░░░░ Vladimir Putin and a ░░░░░░░░ Russian artist apparently tell ░░░░░░░░ about the hold Vladimir ░░░░░░░░ has on the U ░░░░░░░░ Nichols Well in addition ░░░░░░░░ the problem that you ░░░░░░░░ David were just talking ░░░░░░░░ which is Donald Trump ░░░░░░░░ really weird you know ░░░░░░░░ and affection for Vladimir ░░░░░░░░ what you re seeing ░░░░░░░░ and in the past ░░░░░░░░ is what happens when ░░░░░░░░ send complete rank amateurs ░░░░░░░░ against hardened professionals This ░░░░░░░░ really just a staggering ░░░░░░░░ of diplomatic incompetence because ░░░░░░░░ people involved are not ░░░░░░░░ diplomats They ve never ░░░░░░░░ with the Russians They ░░░░░░░░ no experience with these ░░░░░░░░ of negotiations They don ░░░░░░░░ really have a deep ░░░░░░░░ of the issues involved ░░░░░░░░ and so you know ░░░░░░░░ end up going and ░░░░░░░░ taken to the cleaners ░░░░░░░░ that s what happens ░░░░░░░░ rookies go up against ░░░░░░░░ MOHYELDIN And I would ░░░░░░░░ they don t even ░░░░░░░░ they don t even ░░░░░░░░ the pros that we ░░░░░░░░ I mean if there ░░░░░░░░ a State Department official ░░░░░░░░ negotiator or somebody at ░░░░░░░░ embassy who knows Putin ░░░░░░░░ knows how they operate ░░░░░░░░ knows how to negotiate ░░░░░░░░ suspect the Trump Administration ░░░░░░░░ doesn t have a ░░░░░░░░ of confidence in them ░░░░░░░░ Well by definition anybody ░░░░░░░░ knows a lot about ░░░░░░░░ is immediately suspect.”
