Gary Peters: Congress Just Can’t Write a ‘Blank Check’ for Military Activities; That’s Not Responsibility

never ░░░░░░░░ And that s why ░░░░░░░░ have the same AUMF ░░░░░░░░ you ve had since ░░░░░░░░ 2002 if you count ░░░░░░░░ Iraq War I want ░░░░░░░░ play for you what ░░░░░░░░ Hurd said about why ░░░░░░░░ ░░░░░░░░ aumf and start with ░░░░░░░░ fresh discussion that just ░░░░░░░░ last month I was ░░░░░░░░ of those individuals that ░░░░░░░░ for that CUOMO But ░░░░░░░░ didn t happen PETERS ░░░░░░░░ there were 30 of ░░░░░░░░ We have to get ░░░░░░░░ over 51 CUOMO Why ░░░░░░░░ are they holding out ░░░░░░░░ I can t speak ░░░░░░░░ others as to why ░░░░░░░░ won t want to ░░░░░░░░ it But it may ░░░░░░░░ for the reasons that ░░░░░░░░ mentioned that if you ░░░░░░░░ t voting for it ░░░░░░░░ you re not on ░░░░░░░░ hook And that s ░░░░░░░░ It s not what ░░░░░░░░ should be doing here ░░░░░░░░ Congress It s why ░░░░░░░░ voted the way I ░░░░░░░░ I hope we get ░░░░░░░░ 20 plus colleagues in ░░░░░░░░ Senate to vote with ░░░░░░░░ and the others who ░░░░░░░░ that we need to ░░░░░░░░ this kind of discussions ░░░░░░░░ certainly after this tragic ░░░░░░░░ And our heart goes ░░░░░░░░ to the families who ░░░░░░░░ a very tragic loss ░░░░░░░░ Niger and the American ░░░░░░░░ deserve to have answers ░░░░░░░░ folks who serve in ░░░░░░░░ military every day as ░░░░░░░░ as the public as ░░░░░░░░ where our activities are ░░░░░░░░ it should be up ░░░░░░░░ the Pentagon to make ░░░░░░░░ case to members of ░░░░░░░░ as to why we ░░░░░░░░ there and then make ░░░░░░░░ that we buy in ░░░░░░░░ have support if that ░░░░░░░░ something that we believe ░░░░░░░░ should do And you ░░░░░░░░ I want to say ░░░░░░░░ are very dangerous places ░░░░░░░░ being in Nigeria there ░░░░░░░░ some serious challenges that ░░░░░░░░ Nigerian government has to ░░░░░░░░ with We don t ░░░░░░░░ to have safe places ░░░░░░░░
