WHITEHOUSE One thing is ░░░░░░░░ unless the United States ░░░░░░░░ the world rapidly transition ░░░░░░░░ clean energy climate related ░░░░░░░░ weather events will become ░░░░░░░░ more frequent and more ░░░░░░░░ resulting in ever scarcer ░░░░░░░░ and ever higher premiums ░░░░░░░░ is predicted to cascade ░░░░░░░░ plunging property values in ░░░░░░░░ where insurance becomes impossible ░░░░░░░░ find or prohibitively expensive ░░░░░░░░ collapse in property values ░░░░░░░░ the potential to trigger ░░░░░░░░ full scale financial crisis ░░░░░░░░ to what occurred in ░░░░░░░░ according to the chief ░░░░░░░░ of Freddie Mac Only ░░░░░░░░ in 2008 these property ░░░░░░░░ will likely never recover ░░░░░░░░ the risk is not ░░░░░░░░ to go down nor ░░░░░░░░ the sea levels Climate ░░░░░░░░ is no longer just ░░░░░░░░ environmental problem is our ░░░░░░░░ here it is an ░░░░░░░░ threat and it is ░░░░░░░░ affordability issue that we ░░░░░░░░ not ignore I will ░░░░░░░░ where I began around ░░░░░░░░ years ago My granddaughter ░░░░░░░░ who was then 1 ░░░░░░░░ old is now nearly ░░░░░░░░ I said then that ░░░░░░░░ was hopeful that by ░░░░░░░░ end of our series ░░░░░░░░ hearings if we hear ░░░░░░░░ expert witnesses if we ░░░░░░░░ their testimony as our ░░░░░░░░ then our path would ░░░░░░░░ clear I hope that ░░░░░░░░ has become more clear ░░░░░░░░ m not sure what ░░░░░░░░ now have to say ░░░░░░░░ my granddaughter as climate ░░░░░░░░ extreme weather events and ░░░░░░░░ economic shocks that come ░░░░░░░░ them continue to worsen ░░░░░░░░ really need to get ░░░░░░░░ right for the sake ░░░░░░░░ our planet s natural ░░░░░░░░ for the sake of ░░░░░░░░ families and their prosperity ░░░░░░░░ for the sake of ░░░░░░░░ generations like Vera’s.”
