Climate Activist: ‘Science Is Telling Us that the End Is Right Here’

Jones My name is ░░░░░░░░ Jones I am the ░░░░░░░░ organizer for the Wisdom ░░░░░░░░ delegation we re an ░░░░░░░░ collective of indigenous wisdom ░░░░░░░░ and activists who come ░░░░░░░░ to co create advanced ░░░░░░░░ climate policy that distills ░░░░░░░░ wisdom with the global ░░░░░░░░ I think this is ░░░░░░░░ in alignment with what ░░░░░░░░ do You know I ░░░░░░░░ that all of our ░░░░░░░░ all of our religions ░░░░░░░░ all of our faiths ░░░░░░░░ prophesized about a time ░░░░░░░░ turning that we are ░░░░░░░░ faced with now We ░░░░░░░░ at the destruction of ░░░░░░░░ planet we look at ░░░░░░░░ systems that are collapsing ░░░░░░░░ see the science that ░░░░░░░░ telling us that the ░░░░░░░░ is right here but ░░░░░░░░ an indigenous person coming ░░░░░░░░ the United States we ░░░░░░░░ survived genocide and we ░░░░░░░░ thrive I still stand ░░░░░░░░ fully clothed in my ░░░░░░░░ s traditions We come ░░░░░░░░ dressed in ceremony because ░░░░░░░░ have faith that the ░░░░░░░░ will provide that we ░░░░░░░░ rise once again out ░░░░░░░░ the ashes And as ░░░░░░░░ time is prophesized as ░░░░░░░░ pivotal moment in time ░░░░░░░░ understand that as the ░░░░░░░░ world dies a new ░░░░░░░░ is created And we ░░░░░░░░ take into consideration all ░░░░░░░░ and all religions and ░░░░░░░░ teachings from humanity to ░░░░░░░░ our thoughts and become ░░░░░░░░ beautiful chorus of humanity ░░░░░░░░ speaks truth to power ░░░░░░░░ more importantly unites not ░░░░░░░░ in thoughts and not ░░░░░░░░ in prayers but in ░░░░░░░░ time You know this ░░░░░░░░ a pivotal moment in ░░░░░░░░ and it s an ░░░░░░░░ to find other like ░░░░░░░░ people around the planet ░░░░░░░░ are utilizing their own ░░░░░░░░ and their own traditions ░░░░░░░░ their own religions and ░░░░░░░░ to come together and ░░░░░░░░ out what kind of ░░░░░░░░ life that we re ░░░░░░░░ to leave for our ░░░░░░░░ The moments of action ░░░░░░░░ passed us I think ░░░░░░░░ making small steps domestically ░░░░░░░░ passed us That time ░░░░░░░░ escaped us What we ░░░░░░░░ do now is collectively ░░░░░░░░ a giant quantum leap ░░░░░░░░ the future together not ░░░░░░░░ nation states not as ░░░░░░░░ communities or people but ░░░░░░░░ a global collective And ░░░░░░░░ panel up here is ░░░░░░░░ of the world coming ░░░░░░░░ to put away all ░░░░░░░░ the negative thoughts and ░░░░░░░░ of the traumas that ░░░░░░░░ ve inflicted on the ░░░░░░░░ and find a way ░░░░░░░░ to really focus on ░░░░░░░░ creation of that new ░░░░░░░░ One of the thing ░░░░░░░░ helps us to define ░░░░░░░░ future is to really ░░░░░░░░ to articulate what the ░░░░░░░░ will look like When ░░░░░░░░ speak about a healthy ░░░░░░░░ livable world we are ░░░░░░░░ from a place of ░░░░░░░░ This is something that ░░░░░░░░ must be actualized by ░░░░░░░░ conversations that you have ░░░░░░░░ only within your own ░░░░░░░░ but with people and ░░░░░░░░ that are close to ░░░░░░░░ It s important for ░░░░░░░░ to gather in community ░░░░░░░░ really define what the ░░░░░░░░ will look like articulate ░░░░░░░░ so that we have ░░░░░░░░ solid place in the ░░░░░░░░ for us to work ░░░░░░░░ and to work back ░░░░░░░░
