ABEDIN We were at ░░░░░░░░ very exciting chapter I ░░░░░░░░ for our party a ░░░░░░░░ weeks ago together at ░░░░░░░░ Democratic Convention in Chicago ░░░░░░░░ are just 60 days ░░░░░░░░ from this another historic ░░░░░░░░ You know exactly what ░░░░░░░░ took to elect our ░░░░░░░░ black male president And ░░░░░░░░ re also aware of ░░░░░░░░ role that sexism and ░░░░░░░░ and racism has played ░░░░░░░░ our political cycles So ░░░░░░░░ m curious do you ░░░░░░░░ that America s evolved ░░░░░░░░ what we witnessed in ░░░░░░░░ and the role particularly ░░░░░░░░ sexism played then have ░░░░░░░░ evolved to have women ░░░░░░░░ leadership roles in this ░░░░░░░░ And if not what ░░░░░░░░ you think still needs ░░░░░░░░ change JARRETT Well in ░░░░░░░░ Huma yes I think ░░░░░░░░ have And certainly no ░░░░░░░░ knows better than you ░░░░░░░░ hard everyone worked back ░░░░░░░░ 2016 And we ve ░░░░░░░░ a lot since then ░░░░░░░░ I think what Hillary ░░░░░░░░ did is she shattered ░░░░░░░░ glass ceiling but it ░░░░░░░░ t quite break And ░░░░░░░░ I expect Vice President ░░░░░░░░ to do is to ░░░░░░░░ it into the zillions ░░░░░░░░ pieces that we ve ░░░░░░░░ waiting for And I ░░░░░░░░ what she has said ░░░░░░░░ aptly is look she ░░░░░░░░ not running because she ░░░░░░░░ a woman she s ░░░░░░░░ running because she s ░░░░░░░░ person of color She ░░░░░░░░ t expect to win ░░░░░░░░ of those issues She ░░░░░░░░ to win because she ░░░░░░░░ actually the most qualified ░░░░░░░░ running for office And ░░░░░░░░ that s what s ░░░░░░░░ important And I think ░░░░░░░░ issues that she cares ░░░░░░░░ working families creating opportunity ░░░░░░░░ lived the American dream ░░░░░░░░ what she s often ░░░░░░░░ is she wants to ░░░░░░░░ that dream available to ░░░░░░░░ American And I think ░░░░░░░░ a time right now ░░░░░░░░ our country is feeling ░░░░░░░░ polarized she helps bring ░░░░░░░░ together She puts joy ░░░░░░░░ laughter and a sense ░░░░░░░░ unity back in our ░░░░░░░░ And that s why ░░░░░░░░ think it has been ░░░░░░░░ electric ABEDIN Yeah JARRETT ░░░░░░░░ the last six weeks ░░░░░░░░ we just have to ░░░░░░░░ take as we all ░░░░░░░░ a single vote for ░░░░░░░░ and work really hard ░░░░░░░░ Election Day But I ░░░░░░░░ confident that she will ░░░░░░░░
