Huma Mahmood Abedin (born July 28, 1976) is currently a director working on the transition team of former U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton. She served as traveling chief of staff and "body woman" for Clinton during Clinton's campaign for the Democratic nomination in the 2008 presidential election.

On July 23, 2013, Abedin spoke at a press conference in which she discussed her commitment to her husband, current New York City mayoral candidate, Anthony Weiner, despite his indiscriminate behavior of explicit texting. She disclosed the challenges of their marriage, their commitment to their son, and her ongoing support of his mayoral campaign.
