WHITFIELD Several countries have ░░░░░░░░ their citizens to get ░░░░░░░░ of Lebanon What are ░░░░░░░░ inside the country telling ░░░░░░░░ WEDEMAN Well people inside ░░░░░░░░ country the people here ░░░░░░░░ Lebanon Fredricka who do ░░░░░░░░ have foreign passports are ░░░░░░░░ just going on with ░░░░░░░░ daily lives as best ░░░░░░░░ can We drove around ░░░░░░░░ today to see if ░░░░░░░░ was any sort of ░░░░░░░░ on the supermarkets for ░░░░░░░░ to stock up on ░░░░░░░░ Nope Life seemed fairly ░░░░░░░░ We went to what ░░░░░░░░ called the Corniche the ░░░░░░░░ in west Beirut What ░░░░░░░░ saw were people out ░░░░░░░░ the sun drinking beer ░░░░░░░░ to music smoking water ░░░░░░░░ swimming and diving into ░░░░░░░░ water families were there ░░░░░░░░ picnics In another part ░░░░░░░░ town there was a ░░░░░░░░ marking the fourth anniversary ░░░░░░░░ the of August 4th ░░░░░░░░ port blast that killed ░░░░░░░░ than 200 people and ░░░░░░░░ a large part of ░░░░░░░░ city There we heard ░░░░░░░░ are concerned about the ░░░░░░░░ of war with Israel ░░░░░░░░ today the focus was ░░░░░░░░ remembering those who were ░░░░░░░░ and renewing their demands ░░░░░░░░ those who are held ░░░░░░░░ whether through malice misdeeds ░░░░░░░░ incompetence for that explosion ░░░░░░░░ 2 750 tons of ░░░░░░░░ nitrate one of the ░░░░░░░░ non nuclear explosive blasts ░░░░░░░░ history And so people ░░░░░░░░ keep in mind Lebanon ░░░░░░░░ a 15 year civil ░░░░░░░░ Israel invaded in 1982 ░░░░░░░░ was another war in ░░░░░░░░ 96 2006 This country ░░░░░░░░ been through so much ░░░░░░░░ the people are really ░░░░░░░░ They know how bad ░░░░░░░░ can be but they ░░░░░░░░ there s not a ░░░░░░░░ if you don t ░░░░░░░░ a foreign passport there ░░░░░░░░ not a lot you ░░░░░░░░ do other than go ░░░░░░░░ with your daily life ░░░░░░░░ nothing happens and pray ░░░░░░░░ WHITFIELD That s the ░░░░░░░░ All right Ben Wedeman ░░░░░░░░ Jeremy Diamond thanks to ░░░░░░░░ of you, appreciate it.”
