Colo. Sec. Of State: SCOTUS Decision Means Insurrectionists Have the Freedom to Run Without Consequence

LEMIRE Madam Secretary it ░░░░░░░░ noteworthy that even though ░░░░░░░░ was a unanimous opinion ░░░░░░░░ of the justices suggested ░░░░░░░░ perhaps they disagreed with ░░░░░░░░ idea that solely Congress ░░░░░░░░ step in and prevent ░░░░░░░░ insurrectionist as you say ░░░░░░░░ running again Do you ░░░░░░░░ any faith though that ░░░░░░░░ will ever step forward ░░░░░░░░ legislation that could safeguard ░░░░░░░░ piece of our elections ░░░░░░░░ I think that s ░░░░░░░░ of the big concerns ░░░░░░░░ this decision The majority ░░░░░░░░ the Supreme Court decided ░░░░░░░░ could act But this ░░░░░░░░ is almost non functional ░░░░░░░░ the likelihood of that ░░░░░░░░ very low That means ░░░░░░░░ if there is an ░░░░░░░░ breaking insurrectionist running for ░░░░░░░░ federal office they basically ░░░░░░░░ just freedom to run ░░░░░░░░ any consequence The purpose ░░░░░░░░ Section 3 of the ░░░░░░░░ Amendment at least in ░░░░░░░░ view is to safeguard ░░░░░░░░ country from insurrectionists taking ░░░░░░░░ and destroying democracy from ░░░░░░░░ So I think it ░░░░░░░░ really concerning given that ░░░░░░░░ Congress is so unlikely ░░░░░░░░ take any type of ░░░░░░░░ action on the matter.”
