LIESMAN Marc I want ░░░░░░░░ bring this conversation full ░░░░░░░░ because I know you ░░░░░░░░ one of the great ░░░░░░░░ in America for a ░░░░░░░░ here But the work ░░░░░░░░ home situation is one ░░░░░░░░ the things really hurting ░░░░░░░░ undermining the economics and ░░░░░░░░ workers in American cities ░░░░░░░░ should be the response ░░░░░░░░ the mayors of this ░░░░░░░░ to try to get ░░░░░░░░ back in the workforce ░░░░░░░░ of the things I ░░░░░░░░ by the way this ░░░░░░░░ back 1 000 years ░░░░░░░░ there s a pandemic ░░░░░░░░ rich flee they go ░░░░░░░░ their summer homes they ░░░░░░░░ outside of they flee ░░░░░░░░ to the countryside and ░░░░░░░░ leave the workers back ░░░░░░░░ And now that we ░░░░░░░░ technology they are not ░░░░░░░░ back MORIAL Look think ░░░░░░░░ the challenges of San ░░░░░░░░ and think of the ░░░░░░░░ that you see in ░░░░░░░░ I would urge employers ░░░░░░░░ hope that employers are ░░░░░░░░ to get their workers ░░░░░░░░ in the office at ░░░░░░░░ on a part time ░░░░░░░░ I mean I run ░░░░░░░░ organization that s in ░░░░░░░░ Manhattan our headquarters is ░░░░░░░░ we re on our ░░░░░░░░ to move it to ░░░░░░░░ Our employees work three ░░░░░░░░ a week in the ░░░░░░░░ two days a week ░░░░░░░░ home It is a ░░░░░░░░ balance it has worked ░░░░░░░░ us It maintains collaboration ░░░░░░░░ increases productivity and work ░░░░░░░░ balance So I think ░░░░░░░░ mayors have to work ░░░░░░░░ the business communities but ░░░░░░░░ it will require a ░░░░░░░░ as to how you ░░░░░░░░ about some of the ░░░░░░░░ office space in terms ░░░░░░░░ creating live work spaces ░░░░░░░░ that if people leave ░░░░░░░░ people don t completely ░░░░░░░░ downtowns That is damaging ░░░░░░░░ just for the cities ░░░░░░░░ s damaging for the ░░░░░░░░ because central cities whether ░░░░░░░░ s downtown Chicago Manhattan ░░░░░░░░ Orleans Atlanta San Francisco ░░░░░░░░ are the economic aorta ░░░░░░░░ entire regions So if ░░░░░░░░ downtown declines if you ░░░░░░░░ it will impact the ░░░░░░░░ region it impacts the ░░░░░░░░ industries So the mayors ░░░░░░░░ a big challenge ahead ░░░░░░░░ them They have to ░░░░░░░░ with the business community ░░░░░░░░ think some leaders here ░░░░░░░░ New York said Hey ░░░░░░░░ will come back in ░░░░░░░░ office we will ask ░░░░░░░░ to come back in ░░░░░░░░ think it is important ░░░░░░░░ they continue pressure to ░░░░░░░░ workers back into the ░░░░░░░░ it will help retailers ░░░░░░░░ Maybe the cities should ░░░░░░░░ raising taxes and doing ░░░░░░░░ things that make it ░░░░░░░░ much likely Like with ░░░░░░░░ York with this congestion ░░░░░░░░ why do that if ░░░░░░░░ want people coming back ░░░░░░░░ MORIAL New York is ░░░░░░░░ little bit of an ░░░░░░░░ I mean a lot ░░░░░░░░ cities are not necessarily ░░░░░░░░ tax New York is ░░░░░░░░ different New York is ░░░░░░░░ different than so many ░░░░░░░░ in America I always ░░░░░░░░ to use New York ░░░░░░░░ the sort of example ░░░░░░░░ yeah you talk about ░░░░░░░░ pricing I don t ░░░░░░░░ get into that because ░░░░░░░░ ve never been a ░░░░░░░░ fan of it I ░░░░░░░░ it but haven t ░░░░░░░░ been a big fan ░░░░░░░░ I think QUICK Good ░░░░░░░░ you moved to Harlem ░░░░░░░░ Yeah we love Harlem ░░░░░░░░ Harlem.”
