Obama on Cop Shootings: ‘Black Lives Matter Doesn’t Mean Blue Lives Don’t

RUSH TRANSCRIPT So to ░░░░░░░░ of law enforcement I ░░░░░░░░ to be very clear ░░░░░░░░ know you have a ░░░░░░░░ job We mourn those ░░░░░░░░ uniform for protecting us ░░░░░░░░ lose their lives On ░░░░░░░░ regular basis I have ░░░░░░░░ with families in front ░░░░░░░░ Capitol Hill to commemorate ░░░░░░░░ incredible heroism they have ░░░░░░░░ I have hugged family ░░░░░░░░ who have lost loved ░░░░░░░░ doing the right thing ░░░░░░░░ know how much it ░░░░░░░░ On a regular basis ░░░░░░░░ bring in those who ░░░░░░░░ done heroic work in ░░░░░░░░ enforcement and have survived ░░░░░░░░ they have been injured ░░░░░░░░ they risk their lives ░░░░░░░░ remarkable ways and we ░░░░░░░░ them and appreciate them ░░░░░░░░ they are doing really ░░░░░░░░ job really well There ░░░░░░░░ no contradiction between us ░░░░░░░░ law enforcement making sure ░░░░░░░░ have got the equipment ░░░░░░░░ need making sure that ░░░░░░░░ collective bargaining rights are ░░░░░░░░ making sure they are ░░░░░░░░ staffed and making sure ░░░░░░░░ are respected Making sure ░░░░░░░░ families are supported saying ░░░░░░░░ are problems across the ░░░░░░░░ justice system Bias some ░░░░░░░░ and some unconscious that ░░░░░░░░ it be rooted out ░░░░░░░░ is not attack on ░░░░░░░░ enforcement That is reflective ░░░░░░░░ the vast majority law ░░░░░░░░ bring to the job ░░░░░░░░ their lives harder So ░░░░░░░░ people say Black Lives ░░░░░░░░ that doesn t mean ░░░░░░░░ lives don t matter ░░░░░░░░ just means all lives ░░░░░░░░ but right now the ░░░░░░░░ concern is the fact ░░░░░░░░ data shows that black ░░░░░░░░ are more vulnerable to ░░░░░░░░ kinds of incidents.”
