SELLERS Dr King did ░░░░░░░░ cause a crisis Tom ░░░░░░░░ had an amazing documentary ░░░░░░░░ wrote an amazing book ░░░░░░░░ Boom 1968 In 1968 ░░░░░░░░ lost three students on ░░░░░░░░ campus at South Carolina ░░░░░░░░ University in the Orangeburg ░░░░░░░░ In 1968 April 4th ░░░░░░░░ Martin Luther King Jr ░░░░░░░░ assassinated In 1968 we ░░░░░░░░ Robert F Kennedy to ░░░░░░░░ The fact is he ░░░░░░░░ not create a crisis ░░░░░░░░ crisis was that America ░░░░░░░░ not want to confront ░░░░░░░░ racist past and didn ░░░░░░░░ want to cash that ░░░░░░░░ note And the fact ░░░░░░░░ that Dr Martin Luther ░░░░░░░░ stood up for all ░░░░░░░░ And you cannot whitewash ░░░░░░░░ legacy or bastardize it ░░░░░░░░ national TV because it ░░░░░░░░ offensive LORD Bakari you ░░░░░░░░ making something up I ░░░░░░░░ not whitewashing it By ░░░░░░░░ way I stood in ░░░░░░░░ for 6 hours to ░░░░░░░░ Robert Kennedy s casket ░░░░░░░░ touch the flag I ░░░░░░░░ 17 years old Bakari ░░░░░░░░ don t know if ░░░░░░░░ were there or old ░░░░░░░░ to be there I ░░░░░░░░ there I stood up ░░░░░░░░ the south in 1965 ░░░░░░░░ dad most importantly stood ░░░░░░░░ So I m not ░░░░░░░░ to sit here and ░░░░░░░░ you conflate saying I ░░░░░░░░ not say Martin Luther ░░░░░░░░ and Donald Trump were ░░░░░░░░ same I said the ░░░░░░░░ and anybody can use ░░░░░░░░ strategies anybody for any ░░░░░░░░ good bad or indifferent ░░░░░░░░ cause a major crisis ░░░░░░░░ forces the other side ░░░░░░░░ negotiate That s all ░░░░░░░░ was saying To deliberately ░░░░░░░░ it is not worthy ░░░░░░░░ you my friend SELLERS ░░░░░░░░ Dr King died nearly ░░░░░░░░ years before I was ░░░░░░░░ I am only 32 ░░░░░░░░ old so I don ░░░░░░░░ have the audacity to ░░░░░░░░ absolutely everything But what ░░░░░░░░ can tell you is ░░░░░░░░ argument that you re ░░░░░░░░ is fundamentally flawed And ░░░░░░░░ crisis that you re ░░░░░░░░ about creating this is ░░░░░░░░ some game to pass ░░░░░░░░ piece of legislation These ░░░░░░░░ that you re talking ░░░░░░░░ creating it got four ░░░░░░░░ girls blown up in ░░░░░░░░ church These crises got ░░░░░░░░ Till and Medgar Evers ░░░░░░░░ these crises got people ░░░░░░░░ including Dr Martin Luther ░░░░░░░░ Jr so how dare ░░░░░░░░ Jeffrey utilize their lives ░░░░░░░░ these crises to make ░░░░░░░░ points LORD Bakari again ░░░░░░░░ re just totally misrepresenting ░░░░░░░░ and all I m ░░░░░░░░ is Dr King himself ░░░░░░░░ there was a reason ░░░░░░░░ do what he was ░░░░░░░░ which was to cause ░░░░░░░░ crisis He was quite ░░░░░░░░ about it quite deliberate ░░░░░░░░ effective and I was ░░░░░░░░ teenager and I thought ░░░░░░░░ was totally right on.”
