HILL In terms of ░░░░░░░░ you brought up what ░░░░░░░░ happening what we re ░░░░░░░░ in the Pacific Northwest ░░░░░░░░ have been talking a ░░░░░░░░ about what happened in ░░░░░░░░ at the Surfside condominium ░░░░░░░░ that collapsed we don ░░░░░░░░ know exactly what happened ░░░░░░░░ this point But given ░░░░░░░░ we know about the ░░░░░░░░ in climate given that ░░░░░░░░ have seen an increase ░░░░░░░░ the extraordinary tides and ░░░░░░░░ impact that that can ░░░░░░░░ in areas like south ░░░░░░░░ do you think that ░░░░░░░░ could have played a ░░░░░░░░ in that building s ░░░░░░░░ GRANHOLM Well obviously we ░░░░░░░░ t know fully but ░░░░░░░░ do know that the ░░░░░░░░ are rising We know ░░░░░░░░ we re losing inches ░░░░░░░░ inches of beaches not ░░░░░░░░ in Florida but all ░░░░░░░░ You know Lake Michigan ░░░░░░░░ I m from you ░░░░░░░░ we ve seen the ░░░░░░░░ of beaches because the ░░░░░░░░ are rising So you ░░░░░░░░ this is a phenomenon ░░░░░░░░ will continue We ll ░░░░░░░░ to wait to see ░░░░░░░░ the analysis is for ░░░░░░░░ building but the issue ░░░░░░░░ resiliency and making sure ░░░░░░░░ we adapt to this ░░░░░░░░ climate that s gonna ░░░░░░░░ levees need to be ░░░░░░░░ that means sea walls ░░░░░░░░ to be built that ░░░░░░░░ infrastructure needs to be ░░░░░░░░ We need to make ░░░░░░░░ that we invest enough ░░░░░░░░ clearing out the forest ░░░░░░░░ we don t have ░░░░░░░░ weather events We need ░░░░░░░░ invest in hardening our ░░░░░░░░ lines maybe burying wires ░░░░░░░░ that we can protect ░░░░░░░░ that are like tinderbox ░░░░░░░░ There s so much ░░░░░░░░ that we need to ░░░░░░░░ to protect ourselves from ░░░░░░░░ change but also to ░░░░░░░░ it and mitigate it ░░░░░░░░ hopefully these infrastructure bills ░░░░░░░░ taken together will make ░░░░░░░░ huge step and allow ░░░░░░░░ to lead again HILL ░░░░░░░░ Granholm good to have ░░░░░░░░ with us this morning ░░░░░░░░ Thank you so much ░░░░░░░░ Thank you.”
