MSNBC: New Gallup Poll Shows Majority of Americans Oppose GOP Health Plan

‘56 percent disapprove and 17 percent approve of this plan’

EXCERPT:

GEIST: “A check on President Trump’s job approval numbers this morning. The Gallup tracking poll, the daily poll, shows 39 percent approve of the job he is doing and 56 percent disapproving. And new polling finds the majority of Americans oppose the Republican plan to repeal and replace ObamaCare. According to a new Quinnipiac University poll, 56 percent disapprove, just 17 percent of Americans polled by Quinnipiac approve of this plan. A majority of voters, 61 percent also disapprove of the way President Trump is handling this health care process. 20 percent of voters say the Affordable Care Act should be completely repealed, 50 percent say certain parts ought to be repealed, and 27 percent say it should be left intact. Joe, you put all of those numbers together, a highly unpopular bill with an increasingly unpopular president doesn’t bode well for the passage of this thing today.”
