MEADOWS: "However, I would say progress is being made and that progress that is being made is really — should be applauded with the efforts of the White House to try to not only deliver on a campaign promise, but to deliver lower premiums for every American from coast to coast and in-between. So, I would say that at this point the President’s engagement is unparalleled and I believe in the history of our country to actually engage a number of members, whether they be moderates or conservatives, and I think it’s indicative of just a President that wants to solve problems. Even meeting with somebody like Elijah Cummings on drug — prescription drug, actual cost and price. I mean, what he said today in the meeting was he singled out Elijah Cummings and said he wants to work on an issue for a Democrat. This is a President that wants to get things done.”
