Bloomberg Rips Liberal Intolerance on College Campuses (Washington Free Beacon)

Former New York City mayor Michael Bloomberg sharply criticized liberal students, professors and administrators across the country for their pattern of silencing the voices of those they disagreed with during his Harvard commencement address Thursday.

He accused them of “censorship” and a modern-day form of McCarthyism. Angry liberals worked to stop such speakers as former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, women’s rights activist Ayaan Hirsi Ali and IMF chiefChristine LaGarde from speaking at various commencement ceremonies.

“Today, on many college campuses, it is liberals trying to repress conservative ideas, even as conservative faculty members are at risk of becoming an endangered species,” he said.
