WSJ’s Mary O’Grady: Trump Inaugural Address Was ‘Dystopian’ and ‘Vengeful’
EXCERPT:
GIGOT: "That call to action what I heard. He says, now is the time of action. Criticized all talk no action politicians. He said, 'I'm going to do the job for you. That message came through. And that may be exactly what his voters want to hear. And frankly, it may be that hard charging attitude that people need to hear in Washington."
O'GRADY: "That's certainly what the primary voters that put him as a Republican candidate wanted to hear. And I felt like it was a primary speech. I was very disappointed with it. I thought it was dystopian. I thought it was vengeful. And I thought it was marking out us against them. 'They are the enemy,' and sort of 'Anybody who is an unemployed factory worker, they are morally upright, but the rest of you we will get you now.' I was really not happy with it."
