Comedian Dave Chappelle, hosting this week's Saturday Night Live, said he's not going to be joining other celebrities leaving the United States following Donald Trump's victory.

"No, I’m good, I’m going to get this tax break, see how it works out," he joked.

Chappelle also turned serious and appealed to his audience to give Trump "a chance."

Speaking of a recent White House gathering where many black Americans were gathered, Chappelle described the sense of pride he felt. "It made me feel hopeful and it made me feel proud to be an American and it made me very happy about the prospects of our country.

"So, in that spirit, I'm wishing Donald Trump luck," he said. "And I'm going to give him a chance. And we, the historically disenfranchised, demand that he give us one too. Thank you very much."
