Harry Enten: ‘Bernie Sanders-Endorsed Candidates Did Significantly Worse’ Than More Moderate Democrats

‘I think that kind of an illustrative data point that shows that voters were not voting in’

RUSH EXCERPT:

ENTEN: “Well, here‘s the situation. You know, if you kind of line up the candidates that Bernie Sanders endorsed, right. And those are not necessarily all dsa members, but they‘re certainly folks who are friendlier to that point of view. Those candidates did, by the math, significantly worse versus the baseline than those more moderates. I mean, go up to Maine‘s second district now, the only Republican in New England is going to be Paul LePage up in northern Maine, because Democratic primary voters decided that instead of nominating a moderate, that they were going to nominate someone much more left of much further left from than the center. So I think that kind of is an illustrative data point that shows that voters were not voting in. They did not want the far left-wing."
