Sen.-Elect Annie Andrews: ‘We Need To Stop the Medicaid Budget Cuts’ as Health Care Priority in Washington
RUSH EXCERPT:
ANDREWS: “Yeah. On the oversight front, I want to hold RFK Jr.. Accountable for the damage that he has done to America’s public health system. He is the reason that spartanburg county, South Carolina, had a measles outbreak just last year. He has done grave damage to trust in the public health system in America. And he needs to be held accountable. And I think no one is better prepared to do that than me. A pediatrician with 20 years of experience practicing. But the problems in our health care system are much bigger than that. Of course, so many people in South Carolina don’t have access to affordable health care where they need it and when they need it. So we need to do something about the cost of prescription drugs. We need to hold our insurance companies accountable. Number one, we need to stop the Medicaid budget cuts.”
