Ky. Gov. Andy Beshear: Dems Can Win Anywhere, We Picked Up the First Dem Seats in Our State Legislature in 10 Years

‘We should be fighting everywhere’

RUSH EXCERPT:
BESHEAR: "Well, what it means is that Democrats can win anywhere and we should be fighting everywhere. We picked up the first democratic seats in our state legislature in 10 years. That’s what we saw in this election. In the sixth congressional district, Donald Trump won it by 15 points. Now, I won it the year before by about 20. But that was the first flip of the night. That’s going to usher in a democratic majority in the house and make akeem Jeffries the first African-American speaker of the House in in U.S. history. So we were proud to do our part in Kentucky. You saw Kentucky move further away from Trump than just about any other state. It’s just we had a long way to go. But I think in the end, what it shows is people aren’t as partizan as we think they are. They about their job, their next doctor’s appointment, the roads and bridges they drive, the public school they drop their kids off at, and whether they feel safe in their community. Donald Trump was hurting them in all these ways. The Republican Congress wasn’t standing up to him at all. And they said, enough is enough. We want people who are for us, not just for him."
