Gov. Andy Beshear: Democratic Governors’ Wins Mean Expanded Health Care and More ‘Good Jobs’ for Americans

‘We will have 30 democratic governors come January, the most we’ve had since 1992’

RUSH EXCERPT:

BESHEAR: “This is the biggest win for the democratic governors association in our history. We will have 30 democratic governors come January, the most we’ve had since 1992. We will have a democratic governor in every battleground state, and we’ve expanded the map, whether we’re looking at 28, 32 or beyond. We picked up seats in places like Iowa and Texas, Ohio. We have held every single seat that we have across the country, including Kansas, which, while it hasn’t been called, we have definitely won in. And we are going to pull out Alaska, just a really special election. And Jen, as you know, this isn’t doesn’t just mean that that Democrats are in charge. It means that we expand health care. It means in places that Medicaid has not been expanded and rural health care has been suffering. Help is on the way. It means governors that aren’t focused on cut rate jobs, but good jobs. I mean, the average wage of an incentivized job in Kentucky this year is $31 an hour, the highest it’s ever been."
