Scott Colom: Lawyers and Organizers Are Working To Ensure ‘Everybody’s Votes Are Being Counted’

COLOM: “Well, it’s so great that we’ve got so many lawyers across the country that have stepped up. We’ve got organizers on the ground, the NAACP, Derrick Johnson, the national president. You know, he understood what was at stake in this election and started organizing. Splc has been doing stuff outside of my campaign, of course, but they’ve been doing things to make sure that everybody’s at the courthouses. And, you know, so we’re being the courthouse, making sure the local officials understand the law, that they’re not intimidated. I trust these local officials to follow the process. They know what their job is. They know they know how to make sure the affidavit ballots are appropriately counted if they’re supposed to. And I trust the process. Everybody needs to be calm."
