CROSS: “Well, I think that if anybody thought there was going to be an amicable situation between President Trump and the Democrats, no matter how big their majority became, those people were likely to be insane. This is a president who was willing to set the Constitution on fire. This is a president who does not care about the results of the election, because he honestly doesn‘t care about the future of the Republican Party. He knows that he is a lame duck. He also knows that there are going to be certain things that are extremely hard to get across the aisle, with majorities in both bodies. He also knows that the gains that he made just a couple of years ago have all but been eradicated because of the policies that he‘s pushed forward, be it whether it‘s tariffs, the results of the big beautiful bill act, you name it, it has been destructive.”
