Our first days in the White House, I mean, when we were doing our travel bans and when we were doing all of our early executive orders Stephen was quarterbacking all of those executive orders. He understands the equities involved. He understands the process. The general counsels. The principles committee. The deputies committee. Presidential records act is serious and there is a process by which we get things done in the White House, and he’s been involved in that process since 2017. So he knows it inside and out. It’s a logical choice for the president in spite of some of the vitriol coming out of the Democrats. I think he’ll overcome that and if the Democrats would give this a chance, I think they could be pleasantly surprised."
