Rep. Smith: Stephen Miller as W.H. Chief of Staff Signals That It’s Going To Be a Very Difficult Time Between Congress and Trump

‘Indicates not only that Trump “basically learned nothing from the election’

EXCERPT:

SMITH: “Well, I think it’s sending the message that Trump has learned nothing from what happened on Tuesday. I mean, Tuesday was a complete repudiation of Donald Trump, the MAGA movement, and his policies across the board. And, you know, I’ll say this as a Democrat, it wasn’t like Democrats were incredibly popular. You know, we still have our issues, we still have our challenges, and yet, the voters overwhelmingly chose us over Trump. So, for Trump to double down with one of his more combative, more divisive, you know, a supporter of some of the more extreme policies that Trump has put in place, shows that he basically learned nothing from the election, about where the electorate was at, and it does signal that it is going to be a very, very difficult time between our Democratic House and Senate and a president who, you know, still refuses, well, to follow Congress, to obey the law, a whole host of things. So, it gives a pretty good heads-up that the challenges are going to be significant.”
