MCENANY: "As we were coming to air, let me just share with you what Hakeem Jeffries chose to write about my former colleague who I worked very closely with, Stephen Miller, the new chief of staff. He called him a dangerous xenophobe, a reckless extremist who has blood on his hands, and says his presence should be eradicated like a malignant tumor. That is the person asking to be the speaker of the House. I am not sure how that solves affordability. They are prepared to fight. I think Democrats will overplay their hand. And Stephen Miller, I worked with him very closely. I know a lot about him. He cares deeply about messaging. He would regularly run into my office. I, alongside him, helped to prep the president for one of the debates as well. He’s an extraordinary messenger, he’s a high-level operator and he is someone, ultimately, who knows how to do this job and knows how to fight, and that is what the president needs.”
