Chuck Schumer: ‘I’m the Orchestra Leader — I’m Not the Best Bassoonist, I Highlight that Person’

EXCERPT:

SCHUMER: "We have a great time to make a Kansas Democrat and show that Democrats can really care about their states. So what I do as the leader is I’m the orchestra leader, and I pick the theme, chaos and corruption, but I am not the best bassoonist. I highlight that person. I am not the great virtuoso singer, so I highlight that person. And the way you make this run and work is bring -- show the talents and showcase the talents of the people, and just everyone sort of singing on the broad same tune. And I would say that it has worked. And now we have a new freshman class coming in from across the country. You know, they're fabulous. We're going to highlight them."
