Ashley Etienne: The Challenge for Dems Will Be How to Balance the Investigations into the Trump Admin

‘You can‘t overindex on focusing on Donald Trump, because you run the risk of feeling political in an environment where people want you to focus on their economics’

EXCERPT:

ETIENNE: “Absolutely. If you look — and Kristen can speak to this. If you look at the exit polls from Tuesday, 90 percent — of the country said that they think corruption, addressing corruption is crucial. So, the challenge for Democrats, though, is going to be — and we know Trump to be the most corrupt president in American history. So, the challenge is going to be, how do you balance these investigations? You can’t overindex on focusing on Donald Trump, because you run the risk of feeling political in an environment where people want you to focus on their economics. And how do you balance that with investigations that I — my advice to them is — that really get at following the money and get at issues that are addressing people’s pocketbooks? I think the best investigation would be on tariffs. You got these corporations that get paid twice with high cost and in the refunds. And you can actually drill down on the issue of tariffs and localize that issue and create more pressure, because the key for Democrats is not just getting blood, drawing blood from Donald Trump, but it’s also going to be laying the foundation for 2028.”
