There must have been some conversations on Election Night at the vice president's residence about how to start to create a little bit of independence there. Now, the tough thing J.D. Vance is going to face is he was one of the lead negotiators with the Iranians. He's not just been a participant in this war. He has been one of the faces of this war. And guess who made sure of that from the outset? Donald Trump. So J.D. Vance is going to have a hard time creating that distance if that's what he's trying to do.”
