Abdul El-Sayed: ‘I Will Govern How I Campaigned’

EXCERPT:

EL-SAYED: “I'm not here to defend me. Everything I've tried to do in the campaign is about defending a way forward to try to serve the public. I will govern how I campaigned. But I think one of the key takeaways is it's not just the conversation I'm going to get to share with 99 other senators with whom I intend to share a conversation. Ted Cruz said some awful things. I will sit down with Ted Cruz and if he's got a bill that makes sense to get money out of politics, put money in pockets, pass Medicare for All, I'll work with him on it so long as he's willing to do it in good faith. The question though is also about the conversations we have with the 330 million people who elect all of us.”
