Byron Donalds: ‘We Knocked on 2.2 Million Doors’ Across Florida Because ‘We Had a Feeling It Would Be a Tough Election’

‘The voters showed up and made that reality’

EXCERPT:

DONALDS: "It’s a high honor, a great honor. This really is something where the people of Florida want to make sure that our state continues to be a commonsense state where conservative policies have made us the envy of the other 49 states, and the voters showed up and made that a reality again. I couldn’t thank enough my team, obviously, the support from President Trump, all the hard work we did, the support from Governor DeSantis down the stretch. But, Sean, I'll tell you, part of the victory in what turned out to be an incredibly tough night for Republicans across the country, we knocked on over 2.2 million doors all across the state of Florida. We kind of had a feeling it would be a tougher election so we really got back to basics, talking to voters in every city, every county, every town, knocking doors relentlessly in the state of Florida, and we didn’t give up on any segment of the electorate. We spent a lot of time talking to black voters, Hispanic voters, who were independent, soft Democrats, we really took the message everywhere and we believe that’s what took us over the top last night."
