Marc Thiessen: J.D. Vance’s Statement Was ‘Disloyal to the POTUS’
EXCERPT:
THIESSEN: "Well, first of all, I was kind of shocked by that statement by -- that Vice President Vance put out. It was, quite frankly, disloyal to the president of the United States. You heard what he just said. He said, 'I did it, it might have affected the election, but I would have done it again because it was the right thing to do for our national security.' And Dasha called him on her show yesterday and he said the same thing, he's been saying it over and over again, it was the right thing to do. I didn’t see Vice President Vance say it was the right thing to do. I didn’t see him say, 'Donald Trump is one of the most courageous presidents in my lifetime because he took this very difficult political decision and put the country ahead of his own political interests. 47 years Iran has been waging war on us, he’s the first president to fight back.' I didn’t hear any of that. All I heard was, 'We lost because of the Iran war, and if you want to defend that, go ahead, but you better make that case.' Well, that’s the exact case that Donald Trump is making. He's saying it was the right thing to do. Why is his vice president saying something different?"
