Minn. Governor-Elect Amy Klobuchar on Affordability: I Will Build on My Years of Fighting and Beating Big Pharma, More Homes
RUSH EXCERPT:
KLOBUCHAR: “We will take action to address the high cause minnesotans are facing, including health care, housing and child care on health care. I’ve outlined my plan. It is right there on our website to bring down the cost of premiums by blocking unfair in. Insurance rate hikes extending reinsurance and creating a state tax credit if the federal government won’t act of, though those chances have improved after last night, when it comes to the very important tax credit. Given that eight million people have been tossed off their health care nationally, since the president came into office, I will build on my years of fighting and beating big pharma to lower prescription drug prices by expanding bulk purchasing of drugs. Housing should be more affordable. That’s our goal. We will work with the private sector to build a hundred thousand more homes from apartment. It’s to single family houses. The road to housing bill that just passed by Congress last year is going to be very helpful in paving that way, and I know where the money is buried over there and I also know other provisions in that bill. Since I wrote part of it, we must build houses faster or, and that mean permitting needs to be faster as well. Clear timelines, quicker, decisions, more homes.”
