Mamdani on Midterms: ‘The American People Are Tired of Being Told that Their Needs Are Unrealistic’

EXCERPT:

MAMDANI: “It was an incredible evening, and I think what it showed is that the American people are tired of being told that their needs are unrealistic by the very politicians that have been bought off by the wealthiest people in the country. And, you know, we heard from J.D. Vance asking Americans across the country for two more years. And what those same Americans have said in response is they can’t afford to wait two more years when their rent is due on the 1st of the month, when they have to pay for their groceries today, when they have to get their kids to childcare this week.”
