AG Blanche: ‘There Is a Scenario Where the Incumbent, Senator Sullivan, Could Lose but Really He Didn’t Lose’

‘Because of ranked-based voting it’s clear that voters were confused’

EXCERPT:

BLANCHE: “Yeah. So, well, because of rank-based voting in Alaska, it depends. So, yes, there’s a scenario where the incumbent, the Senator Sullivan could lose. But really, he didn’t lose, really, because of rank-based voting, if it’s clear that voters were confused. And again, that’s why you need to preserve these ballots because you need to look at the individual ballots potentially to see if there was voter confusion, to see if it’s obvious from the ballot itself that the voter, or likely that the voter intended to vote for Senator Sullivan but was confused because of the fraud that’s taking place there. And we don’t know. So, we don’t know yet what the Alaskan voters are going to do or what the results will be."
