AG Blanche on the Alaska Elections: ‘Everybody Agrees That There’s Fraud on the Ballot,’ There’s a Man Running Only to Confuse Voters
EXCERPT:
BLANCHE: “Well, we — no, I’m not going to confirm anything that has to do with an ongoing investigation. That’s not fair to the process or to them. But what I will absolutely confirm is that this is an extraordinarily difficult and sad situation. We’ve been talking about this for months. President Trump has been talking about this for months. And until The New York Times wrote the story, I guess about a week ago, nobody in the national media seemed to care. But this is a situation where everybody agrees that there is a fraud on the ballot. Everybody agrees that there is a man running that doesn’t want to run, that doesn’t expect to be senator, that is only running to confuse Alaskan voters. And so, that’s why the Department of Justice has been fighting tooth and nail to stop this process. And we’re not going to — and we’re not going to stop the fight even after today.”
