Zach Lahn Vows for ‘Meaningful Progress’ in Iowa Water Quality

‘The most tangible will be on water quality and public education’

EXCERPT:

LAHN: "Well, I think some of the biggest tangible ways would be we'd be making meaningful progress on the water quality issue, because it is my top issue that I’ve been running on, because I care, you know, our family is drinking the water too, our relatives are, our neighbors are. That'd be one. But also just the more -- the broader picture of moving towards this idea that the government and the economy of Iowa needs to be set up to support the people of Iowa, make life better. For a long time, you have career politicians, you have special interests, you have corporate giants that have been getting sweetheart deals, and oftentimes those are at the detriment of the people on the ground. The most tangible, I really believe, is going to be on water quality and on public education, those two issues. I think we have a tremendous amount of opportunity to make both of those better, and after four years, I would hope that the life of Iowans will be better by me helping solve those."
