Haley Stevens: ‘I’m Still a Democrat ... I’m Just a Democrat for Rogers’

STEVENS: "I think people are sick of this hate and division, you know, they don’t want negativity. I’m not trying to hurt anyone. I’m not trying to, you know, cause any anyone pain. I’m sure, you know, there’s a lot of folks who are reaching out to me, who believe in what I’m doing, who are are glad.. And I’m a Democrat. I’m still a very proud Democrat. I plan to stay in the Democratic Party. (...) I'm just a Democrat for Rogers. I’m still a Democrat, all right? This is a tough decision for a lot of people. I know there are a lot of other Democrats who want to vote for the Democratic nominee, and he said, 'No, thank you.' He said, 'You’re not welcome at the event, you're not welcome in the campaign.' I’m really proud to go and vote for a whole host of other Democrats, and by the way, I’m just in one state. There are awesome Democratic races going on all over this country. But someone in the Democratic Party has gotta say that this crap has gotta stop, this hate, this division, this -- everything being about major drama. That's it."
