Jim Himes: ‘One of the Scenarios That We Have Prepared For’ Involves Trump Challenging Election Security on Election Day

HIMES: “One of the scenarios that we have prepared for is the president midway through Election Day saying I’ve been informed that the Russians or that the Iranians are trying to compromise this election you know that would then lead to all sorts of extra legal things like I’ve ordered the FBI to shut down the voting machines in Michigan or I’ve ordered the FBI to confiscate or ICE or DHS to confiscate those voting machines so that we can determine how the Iranians got into it I mean, you can sort of spin out these scenarios which is why it’s really important for Americans to understand that it has never happened it’s unlikely to happen and if it were to happen it would be very easy to identify incorrect”
