Debbie Dingell: ‘The Black Community Knows What the Supreme Court Has Done to the Black Vote’
RUSH EXCERPT:
DINGELL: “One, I’m saying she’s voting for him to. Jim Clyburn is going with Abdul tomorrow in the city of Detroit, going to churches, doing the souls to the polls event, talking to people about why this matters and what will happen in the United States Senate. He’s going to talk about that. If we don’t keep the Senate, Donald Trump could get two more Supreme Court nominations. Do we really want a Supreme Court that the black community knows what the Supreme Court has done to the black vote and to redistricting and trying to decrease minority representation? The black community knows they’ve got I know I’m meeting with them all the time. The people that have lost health care, the mother, the single mother who came up to me in the grocery store and said, I can’t afford groceries. And my child’s asthma inhaler. That’s what this is about. And that’s what Jim Clyburn wants to talk about with Abdul El-Sayed tomorrow, not what everybody else wants to try to keep pitting against each other, relitigating a primary.“
