Pete Buttigieg: ‘This Is a Chance To Expand the Map’ as Democrats Compete in States Once Considered Out of Reach

RUSH EXCERPT:

BUTTIGIEG: “Yes, this is a chance to expand the map and compete in a lot of places where our policies have been more popular than our party. If we get out there with good candidates who lead with those policies, with what we’re doing to try to make sure that money is getting out of politics, that we have a more affordable, everyday life. It is incredible how far that can travel. I couldn’t believe not just the fact of campaigning in Mississippi for a competitive democratic candidate, but the energy in that room. I wish everybody could have seen it. It was incredible. We had about a thousand people in biloxi, and just the noise level alone told me that people there are hungry for change.”
