Pete Buttigieg: ‘The Conversations We’re Having Here on the Ground in Michigan Are About Making Sure That We Get Out the Vote’

RUSH EXCERPT:

BUTTIGIEG: “We got three days to go, and the conversations we’re having here on the ground in Michigan are about making sure that we get out the vote. It’s making sure that we continue convincing people of our case, but also just making sure that the people who are with us actually turn out and go to the polls. And that’s everything right now. Choose your metaphor. We are on the five yard line. We’re in the finishing stretch, bottom of the ninth, whatever you want to call it. This is that stretch where people are voting today. Matter of fact, I voted today early here in Michigan, people are turning in their ballots. The election is about to be decided. We’ve got to pull together around the values that unite us and that define us.”
