FBI Dir. Kash Patel Says Suspects Attempted to Defraud $41M in Taxpayer-Funded Money: They Thought They Could Get Away with Their Crimes

‘Patel credits law enforcement partners’

TRANSCRIPT:

PATEL: “The subjects intended to defraud thousands of victims of over $41 million, money that was supposed to go to those in need, with our precious taxpayer dollars funding that bill. Instead, they thought they could get away with their crimes. They did not succeed because of this team and the president and the vice president’s anti-fraud task force. We are going to continue working with our state and local partners and the interagency to dismantle, disrupt, and take down fraud networks wherever they are in Minnesota, right here in St. Cloud, and everywhere else in the country.”
