Mike Rogers: Dems Are Walking Away from Abdul El-Sayed Because of His DSA Platform
EXCERPT:
ROGERS: "Oh, it will be different, Bill. So, think of this. We have made huge progress in the African-American community in Detroit, in Pontiac and Flint. We have a massive number of Jewish Democrats who are openly organizing to vote for -- for us. So you start nipping away at those traditional Democrat coalitions, it gets harder to make those votes up somewhere. An Democrats across the state are slowly getting to know him. In the last few days we’ve had the fiance of Haley Stevens, his primary opponent, who's a major Jewish Democrat here in the state, came out and said., 'I can’t vote for him.' The Democrat chairman, a former Democrat Party chairman from Michigan said he can’t vote for him. So when you start going through the list of people who walked away from this guy, it's because of his positions, it's because of his ideology, it's because of his ties to the Muslim brotherhood and because of his DSA platform. All of that just isn’t selling well. So we think we’ll do well on Tuesday."
