Sen. Tim Scott: Socialists Like Abdul El-Sayed Want to Change the DNA of What It Means To Be American

‘I don’t want a different America, I want this America’

EXCERPT:

SCOTT: "The bottom line is that we’re not perfect, there’s no perfect place on the planet. The only perfection we’ll see is when Jesus comes back for the second coming. Until then, what we have to do is make what we have better. I don’t want a different America. I want this America. I think you’re hearing the same kind of sentiment out of many of the black churches in Detroit and Wayne County. Why? Because we want this America. Frankly, Frederick Douglass said it back in the 1800s when he talked about, 'We're going to fight for what we see in the Constitution, not against it.' When you love America, you want America to rise up to its full potential. What the Democrats, Socialists of America, what the Communists want, what frankly Abdul El-Sayed wants, is a different America. He wants a change of very DNA of what it means to be American, and I want to stand in the gap and say, 'No, not on my watch.' Why? Because America’s done too much for me, for my family, for who we are as a country. We have to fight that tooth and nail."
