Talarico: The Idea that Black Voters Are Just Going To Show Up and Vote for a Democrat Is Incorrect

EXCERPT:

TALARICO: "The idea that black voters are just going to show up and vote for a Democrat is incorrect. I’m treating black voters as swing voters, and that means showing up. It means listening. You know, I learned on the campaign trail that Harris County is the deadliest place for a black woman to give birth in the entire country. By being out in the community, I’m learning about the issues the community faces, and then I’m able to to work on policy ideas and solutions with the community."
