J.D. Vance: Democrats Today Think of America as ‘Broken and Has to Be Torn Down to Its Foundation’

RUSH TRANSCRIPT:

VANCE: “I think they represent something that’s very real in the Democratic Party today which is that, you know, when my grandparents who raised me, they were Democrats, they were like JFK-style Democrats. They maybe disagreed with blunts over tax rates or regulatory policy but they weren’t people who would say the American flag, as James Talarico has said, is a complicated symbol or they wouldn’t go campaigning around the Texas, capital of barbecue, and say eating meat is actually bad. In other words, the Democratic Party of today is represented, I think, by these young guys who have completely lost their connection with reality. Who don’t really love the United States of America and want to build upon it. They see it as something that has to be fault tally transformed. America to these guys is broken. It has to be torn down to its foundation and built back up.”
