Dem Rep. Garcia on Two Dan Sullivans in Alaska’s Senate Race: ‘This Isn‘t Going To Be a Big Issue on Election Day’

GARCIA: “I mean, look, obviously Chairman Comer will be chair for, I think, a couple more months, and he can certainly bring up any hearing he wants. I think what‘s important is that it appears that whoever was involved in this was fired by the Peltola campaign over the summer. I think the state of Alaska should take any lead in investigations. I‘m sure that — I‘m sure that they will. And it‘s interesting, of course, that Donald Trump has been trying to also cause issues and havoc with the Alaska election now for weeks. And the idea that Donald Trump is somehow the arbiter of good ethics and elections is crazy. This guy, all he tries to do is cause chaos. And so, let‘s let the people of Alaska vote. Let‘s — if there‘s going to be an investigation, we‘ll find out what happened. But I suspect that this isn‘t going to be a big issue on Election Day. People understand who Dan Sullivan is. They understand who Mary Peltola is. I think the results will see that on Tuesday. I do think Mary Peltola is going to win.”
